Neftekhimik forward Alexander Dergachyov speaks with the media after the open practice.
– Alexander, how is the preseason going?
– Excellent! Of course, I am still getting used to the new team movements. After all, the new game system is very different from the previous one. Otherwise, I really missed hockey. I am happy to spend time on the ice, because otherwise you cannot get incredible emotions. I am looking forward to the start of the new season!
– You have already mentioned the new coaching exercises. What could be difficult about them?
– There are certain tasks that are difficult for me. Probably because I have not gotten used to the new exercises yet. I need a little more time to easily follow the coaching instructions. However, I must admit that I'm getting better with each training session.
– It is no secret that there are a lot of newcomers on the team. How is the team building going?
– In general, the moment of getting to know each other is not particularly difficult. The guys are adults, great professionals. Almost everyone has changes in their career, when they need to change teams. But the newcomers are friendly and responsive.
– Today we had an open practice. What can you say about it?
– I will not lie – there was nothing unusual. We must work with the fans. I think that this should happen in all clubs, because the fans are closely connected with the team. We cannot live without the fans, and they cannot live without us. Therefore, this is an important moment that must take place before the start of the championship.
