Alexander Guskov: «I will be so glad if someome of the young guys use our experience in developing their life and career on and off the ice»

Alexander Aleksandrovich Guskov talks about master class in Nizhnekamsk.

– Alexander, many people believe that here you developed as a professional hockey player when you played here.

– I agree and I always remember this. My first full season. From that time, I played as an offensive defenseman. The head coach Nikolai Dmitrievich Solovyov helped me a lot.

– How was it to work on TV?

–After finishing my career as a professional hockey player, I did not want to go far from my favorite sport. At that time, I got an opportunity to work on TV. That was a great experience!

– How interesting is it for you to cooperate with SIBUR in the Winter Fest?

– I have been cooperating with SIBUR for several years. I have held a lot of master classes before this offer from SIBUR. I believe this is important thing. Especially for those children and teenagers who have the opportunity to get advice from the older generation. I will be so glad if one of the young guys use our experience in developing their life and career on and off the ice!

– As you may have noticed, these young players have different level of skills and different physical abilities. In your opinion, what unites all of them?

– Everyone wants to get something new, useful and interesting. That is why we are all here. I always tell the guys that it’s so difficult to teach everything in these 30-40 minutes, so I try to teach basic things and focus on psychology and motivation.

– What would you like to wish to all hockey fans of Nizhnekamsk?

– Hockey is a valuable thing to Nizhnekamsk. I would like to wish Neftekhimik team plenty of wins and positive emotions and smiles for the fans at every game!
