– We were not quite ready; it took us too much time to make decisions. The opponent also got going late. It's good that we scored first goal of the game. In the second period, we got better, focused, and made it 2–0.In the third period, a penalty slightly hindered us, and that's why we conceded a goal. We lost momentum, and the opponent tied the game up.
– There was a moment in the third period when you could have score, but you hit the goaltender. What if you'd shot it into the near side?
– Yeah, I probably could have even looked there and passed it to either Ilyas or Misha. I rushed it, wanted to shoot faster and score.
– Is it where you were aiming for in overtime?
– At first I thought about passing it, but then I realized it was being intercepted, so I decided to pretend I was passing it and shot it.
