- Andrei, is it difficult to change one team to another?
- To be honest it is not easy. We had a good chemistry between me and teammates, staff, fans, city. The main thing is reaching the coaches staff’s goal for a season and chemistry between players in the team.
- What can you say about «Neftekhimik»? Did you try to get to know about team and city from your friends or through the media?
- I am glad to be part of the wolf pack! I hope that we will have a good season. I did not try to get to know anything about «Neftekhimik». I am acquainted with Vyacheslav Butsayev, that was enough.
- Our team had a lot of players from Belarus. Over the years, Alexei Kalyuzhny, Alexander Makritsky, Oleg Antonenko, Vladimir Kopat, Mikhail Grabovsky, Alexander Kitarov, Andrei Stas and others played here. They did a great job. What is your goal in the new team?
- It is very pleasant that many of my countrymen played in «Neftekhimik». My main goal is to help the club become even better than it was yesterday. The main thing is the team and team’s task.
- Here you chose number 46. Why 46?
- I had number 23 before leaving to NHL. When I arrived to Montreal, they gave number 46. For some reason everyone was sure that it was my personal choice, because it was kind of luck for me «23 + 23 = 46». In fact, I didn’t even think about it. Now, I’m sure that it was luck. That’s why 46.
- A question from the fans: do you like potatoes and do you know Tatar cuisine?
- I am not a finicky eater. I eat everything, including potatoes. I can say that in Nizhnekamsk they cook deliciously. Especially I liked the echpochmaki (literally triangles, is a Tatar national and Bashkirs dish).
- What are you doing during the quarantine?
- As it says, Caution is the parent of safety. Me and my family spend time together in my hometown Novopolotsk.
- What are you doing to be physically active?
- I have a house with a gym in Novopolotsk.
