Neftekhimik forward Arsen Khisamutdinov speaks with the media after a following 2–3 shootout loss against Sibir.
– We actually had a good start, but we conceded a goal late in the first period. We conceded another goal in the second period, even though we had plenty of chances to come back. We had a tough task in the third period–we had to come back, and we did just that. It is good we took one point, even though we could have won.
– We had a lot of chances in the first two periods, but we only managed to score in the third...
– It is hard to say why we could not capitalize on our chances. We seemed to be playing well, but something was always missing. Thank God we managed to score in the third period.
– You played for Neftekhimik for the first time since 2020. Moreover, you had an assist.
– It is good that I was able to score a point in my very first game. The team win is on the first place. We really wanted to win, but unfortunately, it did not work out. We will try to break our losing streak on the road.
