Artur Tyanullin: «We failed to convert several goal– scoring chances»
06.09.2026

Neftekhimik forward Artur Tyanullin speaks with the media after a following 4–5 (OT) loss against Shanghai Dragons.
– Artur, how would you rate the team's performance this evening? In your view, what were the primary factors that contributed to the outcome?– We failed to convert several goal– scoring chances. We conceded an untimely goal late in the second period, which proved costly. Nevertheless, we managed to rally and register our fourth marker. We ought to have maintained greater composure in the closing stages. However, we once again incurred penalties, and the opposition capitalised on those infractions.
– Given the number of physical altercations, does such a game cause any undue discomfort for the players?
– I would not characterise the contest as excessively combative. It was a standard hockey game. The sport is played with intensity, and emotions run high as both sides strive for victory. I would like to extend my gratitude to the fans for creating such a festive atmosphere today. It is regrettable that we were unable to reward them with a victory.
– On a more positive note, you recorded your first goal for the club and also contributed an assist. Does that personal achievement provide any consolation?
– No, it does not.
