Artyom Serikov: «We will fight to the very end»
28.03.2026

Neftekhimik defenseman Artyom Serikov speaks with the media after a following 1–2 against Avangard.
– In my opinion, the score didn't reflect the game, but no one cares – the score was in their favor, and yes, it's a shame. Basically, we capitalized on the power play, with about eight minutes left, we could have played better and basically finished the game. We conceded one, I think, and then another three minutes later, and in the previous games we conceded late, and now it's three games in a row again, so we probably need to improve all of those things.– What do you think is the reason?
– It's hard to say what the reason is, there's definitely no lack of motivation. All the guys are trying. Maybe they're just a little bit better, that's all. I'm not saying we respect them in any way or are inferior in any way. We're stronger, and I think we've played better in three games. It just happened that way.
– How long do you think the series will last? Do you agree that on Monday there will be a deciding game?
– No, definitely not. We will fight to the very end. Either six or seven games will be played, I hope that we can do it.
