18.10.2026

Neftekhimik lost to CSKA 1–4.
CSKA got off to a powerful start: from the very first seconds, they dumped the puck into Neftekhimik's zone and engaged in a fierce battle for possession. Less than a minute into the game, this tactic paid off for the hosts – Klim Kostin moved the puck from behind the net to the slot, where Maxim Mamin coolly buried it. The pressure on Filipp Dolganov’s net intensified; the Army Men kept our goaltender under constant duress with a barrage of shots, whileNeftekhimik struggled to gain any control of the puck.Toward the middle of the period, Neftekhimik side found their rhythm, mounting more organized attacks on Alexander Samonov’s goal. One of these early, well-constructed plays resulted in a goal: while battling CSKA defenseman, Sergei Artemyev managed to pass the puck to Ilya Pastukhov. Although CSKA’s goaltender saved Pastukhov’s shot, German Tochilkin beat everyone to the rebound and leveled the score at 1–1.
Following the goal, Neftekhimik looked like a completely different team, putting CSKA defense under increasing pressure. Just before the intermission, the hosts managed to pull ahead – though only briefly; Neftekhimik coaching staff challenged the play for goaltender interference, and after a video review, the goal was overturned.
The second period played out much like the first, with Neftekhimik once again forced to play catch-up. In the 22nd minute, the hosts took the lead – Maxim Sorkin fired a shot from behind one of our players, leaving Filipp Dolganov with no time to react. The score became 2–1.
Neftekhimik had opportunities to tie the game, but they struggled to convert their chances into goals. Midway through the period, our team found itself short-handed, a situation that proved significant: at one point, German Tochilkin blocked a shot headed toward the net – and, despite the pain, courageously finished his shift. The Nizhnekamsk side managed to defend their goal, and soon after, Neftekhimik earned a power play of their own, though they were unable to convert it.
Moreover, just before the second intermission,Neftekhimik conceded a third goal. Filipp Dolganov managed to react to a shot from Nikita Nesterov, but Ivan Drozdov was the first to reach the rebound, making it 3–1.
The third period began with yet another video review – the second of the game. CSKA scored a fourth goal, but the Neftekhimik coaching staff issued a challenge, this time for offside, and the goal was overturned.
However, Neftekhimik relief was short-lived; the Army Men soon scored a goal that stood. The hosts’ signature tactic – a powerful shot toward the net followed by work in the crease – paid off once again. Filipp Dolganov saved a shot from Ivan Patrikhayev, but Denis Guryanov immediately knocked the rebound into the net, bringing the score to 4–1.
