Neftekhimik forward Damir Zhafyarov talks with the media after a following 3–5 loss against Ak Bars.
– Damir, congrats on your first goal as Neftekhimik player!
– Thank you! The game was quite spectacular, with a lot of goals. I think the fans liked it. It was an interesting game. There were a lot of them in the stands today. Many thanks to them for their support. The atmosphere was incredible! There is not much time left before the start of the regular season – we are getting ready.
– How would you rate the team's game?
– I think it is not for me to rate it. We go out and give it our all in every game, and today's game is no exception. We gave it our all, despite the fact that it was an exhibition game.
– How did we manage to improve the way we play in the second period?
– It just happened, we just took advantage of goal–scoring chances we had. We had enough of them in the previous games, but we could not score, so we hope that it will get better.
