Neftekhimik player Danil Yurtaikin talks with the media after a following 2–5 loss against Lokomotiv.
– How would you rate the team's performance?
– We started the first period well, then made some mistakes, which led to us conceding goals.
– This is your first game at the Blinov Cup and as part of Neftekhimik. How would you rate your form and readiness for the game?
– I am getting into shape, getting into the rhythm. I hope that everything will come through the games.
– How difficult was it in the sense that you did not play and then immediately went on the ice against the current champion?
– It was not easy, I had to get used to it. As I already said, everything will come through the games.
– What was the goal for this game and how did you manage to achieve it?
– The goal is always to win, but it is not working out yet. We are looking for trios and connections. Personally, I am absorbing the nuances of the game from the coaches, so everything is in progress. God willing, we will win.
– It was your first game as Neftekhimik player. Have you already understood what the coaching staff requires of you?
– I am gradually beginning to understand. We communicate and work every day. It will get better every day.
– How hard is it to be in a new team and get used to it all over again?
– That is the life of a hockey player. Of course, I would like to settle down somewhere, but I need to move on. The opportunity presented itself – I am glad to be here and I will try to help my new team.
