Neftekhimik forward Danila Kvartalnov speaks with the media after a following 1–2 loss against Lada.
– It was a tough game, just like the first one in Nizhnekamsk. Unfortunately, we could not break down their defense and win today.
– Did you expect such a tight game from Lada?
– Yes, of course. We were analyzing their game, preparing for their defense, but I guess we were unlucky today – we could not get past the goalie, even though we had chances.
– We conceded two goals in seventeen seconds. Why?
– There are games where wins a team which score first. Today we were unlucky – we did not score first and conceded the second. That probably dampened our spirits, but they, on the contrary, immediately closed up, and we had to expend much more energy trying to break down their defense. In short, we did not take avantage of iur goal–scoring chances.
