Gleb Semyonov: «We all tried to do our best for 100%»

Neftekhimik defenseman Gleb Semyonov speaks with the media after a following 1–3 loss against Ak Bars.

– I think it was great game. There was a great vibe. Before the game, many people texted me words of support, everyone said that they would cheer for us. I think the fans liked the game, but the outcome is not in our favor. Ak Bars, as they took the lead, played well defensively. We had chances, but we did not take advantage of it. We all tried to do our best for 100%.

– Was Ak Bars team just better?

– I would not say that they were better in some way. In terms of speed, we skated even faster. Ak Bars is a very experienced team. Moreover, they have a new coach, thus, all the players are extremely motivated. They were more fortunate today.

– What we need to do to get a win next time?

– Shoot more, you know, something like goalie screening and forecheck. In last games, we scored plenty of goals, but today we did not. By the way, I would like to wish all our fans a Happy New Year!
