– We had two decent periods. A game consists of 60 minutes. If forwards want to make it to the senior level, they need to be able to play defensively well. We have been telling the players this for two months. Unfortunately, we made two mistakes in the third period that resulted in two conceded goals. Still, we definitely earned at least one point.– How much are games against teams from the Gold Division different from those from the Silver Division?
– For me, there is no difference. We are all playing in the JHL. We are all the same.
– What can you say about the home team?
– The level of player selection is completely different. Despite this, if we follow the coaching instructions, we can beat a strong opponent. But if even one player is out, it becomes much more difficult. Today, we had two players out at one point, which led to conceded goal. Although we have been focusing on this for two months, I will be honest: we do not have many JHL level players. The opposing team have much more players. It is tough to play against such an opponent, even though we had chances to win.
