Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 3–1 win over Avtomobilist.
– I think everyone would agree that it was a very interesting game. There were plenty of scoring chances and attacks. The opponent was very serious and very strong, with many good, powerful players. Overall, the guys executed the game plan. There was good movement and good skating. We focused on denying them freedom and space, keeping the pressure on constantly, and working hard to win back the puck. We did not let them build up speed or find open ice. In short, they executed everything; the guys played selflessly when it mattered and capitalized on their chances. I congratulated the team on a great game.
– Speaking of selflessness – there was a moment where Pastukhov practically blocked the puck with his face, then Nadvorny took a shot off his body, and Bikmullin did the same right after. Does not your heart skip a beat in moments like that?
– That is hockey; it is part of the game. When a team has selfless warriors like that, it becomes stronger.
– Alexander Petunin made his debut for Neftekhimik today. How would you rate his performance?
– I was impressed by his level of play and his work ethic. I liked his attitude on the bench – how he discusses situations and communicates with his teammates – as well as what he does out on the ice. It is great to have him with us.

– Congratulations to Neftekhimik on the win! They played more incisively and scored one more goal. We certainly lacked that cutting edge today.
