Reaktor Acting Head Coach Ilnar Misbakhov speaks with the media after a following 4–1 win over Avto.
– All of our disqualified players are back, except for Andrei Eryomenko. We hoped that the guys who missed 5 games would give the team a boost, give it energy. And you could feel it in the warm-up. We understood that the opponent was strong, that mistakes were inevitable with the amount of skating that Avto gives us. But all of these mistakes must be covered by our efforts, our character. And that's what happened.
Special teams did their best, wild emotions on the bench and patience in those situations when the opponent locked us in the zone decided the outcome of this game.
There was a tough moment when the opponent started to outplay us at the beginning of the third period with the score 1–1. But we held on and used our chances at the end. Chris Mouissou scored the winning goal, although he could have ruined everything with his blind, thoughtless pass in the majority, if Avto had tied the score in the match. Such mistakes must be avoided in the future. We talked to Chris about this.
Our first line showed leadership at the right moment, goalkeeper Semyon Lyubalin saved in critical situations, the defenders tried to quickly start attacks - there was a lot of good today.
This game gives a powerful charge for the home series. We need to continue in the same spirit the day after tomorrow in the game with the "Stalnye Lisy".
