Lukas Klok: «This is hockey»

Neftekhimik defenseman Lukas Klok speaks with the media after a following 1–2 loss against Dinamo Mn.

– After this game, the team lost its chances for making playoffs. Is it sad?
– Of course, it is very sad. We understood that we needed to win and get two points. It is difficult to talk about this right now. We have to admit that Dinamo Minsk  deserved to win.

– You have two games left. How difficult will it be to find motivation for these games, knowing that the season is coming to an end?
– I agree, it is difficult. Nevertheless, we must play to the very end. Moreover, we have our last home game ahead. We will do our best for 100% to make our fans happy and finish the season with dignity. We understand that Yaroslavl is preparing for the playoffs, but we need to win. Our fans deserved this victory and we will play for them in our last home game.

– If the team had scored its goal earlier, would there be different outcome?
– You know, one could endlessly talk about what would have happened if we had scored, or if they had scored. This is hockey, we should not think this way. We had several goal–scoring chances, Minsk also had several chances. They scored, we did not score.
