Neftekhimik forward Matvei Nadvorny speaks with the media after a following 2–3 shootout loss against Sibir.
– Well, it was a good and hard–battled game. Thank God, we showed character, came back from 0–2 trailling. So, we can say that we played well in the third. I hope it helps us in the next games.What can I say about the goal I scored? There is nothing special. I stayed in the crease, Kvartalnov shot, and I put my stick in the way. Luckily, the puck crossed the line.
– How important was it to keep a cool head, not get upset, and not get flustered after two conceded goals ?
– We have no choice. We need to stay focused and fight for the result until the end of the game. We did that today. Especially since Igor Vladimirovich said during the second intermission that we need to push for the crease, to score a garbage goal. We shoot a lot, score few goals, and do not push the net enough. It is a shame we lost in the shootout...
Of course, earning a point will give us confidence. It is a big plus for us.
