Matvei Zaseda: «Everything will be fine»
03.03.2026

Neftekhimik forward Matvei Zaseda speaks with the media after a following 1–3 loss against Amur.
– Losing two games in Khabarovsk is a bad result for us. Especially now, when we need to improve our standings. We'll learn from that and move on. Off the top of my head, I'll say that we just need to capitalize on our goal–scoring chances. Our aim was a bit off. We're working on it, everything will be fine, everything will work out.– What happened in the first period? We made only two shots on goal...
– It's simple: we need to shoot more, like our opponent did, while we're trying to play the puck to the right place.
– Today, it felt like the guys were a little underperforming. Is the time zone made a difference?
– It's always difficult to play with different time zones. But I wouldn't say we're underperforming physically or anything else like that. We prepared well, we're on Moscow time here, and everything is going according to plan, so everything should have gone quite well.
– It seemed like we were close to scoring in the second period, but it turned out the other way – we conceded a goal. Was that the key moment of the game?
– I wouldn't say so. We tried hard during the whole game. We love hockey for its unpredictability. We have the power to change the outcome of the game. We, again, fought until the very end, trying to save the game. However, we weren't able to do that today.
