Neftekhimik forward Maxim Sushko speaks with the media after a following 1–4 loss against Ak Bars.
– We did not start the game in the best way; we gave our opponent a lot of space, as if we were not playing at home. In the third period, we followed our coach's instructions and played more aggressively. We won the period, so I think that is a good thing for the next game. In the next game, we need to play like we did in the third period today.– Why did the team have bad start?
– It is hard to say. We made some easy giveaways and did not move the puck out of the zone. I have to point out our opponent, who started aggressively. First and foremost, we need to follow our coach's instructions. Only then will we get a positive result.
– Is there some connection between the way we started the game with the last game, where you expended a lot of energy and emotion?
– I do not think so. Everyone is used to this schedule. My answer would be different if we would play worst in the third period.
– What do you thin about Tatarstan cross–town rivalry?
– It was awesome! Ak Bars fans came and supported their team. Our fans were supporting us, as always. It was incredible!
