Neftekhimik defenseman Ilya Khokhlov scored first goal of the game midway through the first period. Metallurg Mg tied the game up right before the first intermission.

In the second period, Metallurg took the lead on the power play. Nonetheless, Filipp Dolganov did his best and kept Neftekhimik in the game for the entire second period.

In the third period, Metallurg Mg made it 3–1.
