Neftekhmik scored a game–winning goal during a delayed penalty – Evgeny Mityakin made it 1–0. Moreover, Neftekhimik took the initiative in the first period.

In the second period, both team had great chances to change the score on the scoreboard. Nonetheless, teams' goaltenders did their best and did not concede any goals.

In the third period, the opposing team outshot Neftekhimik 18-3 and had great chances on the poewr play. Dolganov did his best and kept his game during penalty killing as well as at the end of the game during 5–onn–6 hockey. Dolganov got his first shutout of the season.
