Neftekhimik lost to Ak Bars 3–5.
After the anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan were played, the head of the NMD executive committee, Candidate for deputy of the Nizhnekamsk city council of the 5th convocation Radmir Belyayev and the Director General of LLC Nizhnekamskneftekhim Marat Falyakhov addressed the teams and fans with welcoming speeches. They also took part in the symbolic face–off.During the intremissions, Maxim Sushko and Nikita Khoruzhev held an autograph session for the fans.
After 10 minutes into first period, Ak Bars got a two–goal lead – Fisenko scored both goals.
At the end of the period, Evgeny Mityakin scored on the power play. After that, Ak Bars player Marchenko scored third goal. Damir Zhafyarov immediately reduced the gap in the score. Later, Jean–Sebastien Dea made it 2–3.
In the third period, Yashkin regained Ak Bars's two–goal lead. At the end of the third, Neftekhimik had an extra player on the ice. Unfortunately, Ak Bars sscored an empty–net goal.
