Today is the birthday of the founder of our city and the first director of the Nizhnekamsk Chemical Plant (Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC), Hero of Socialist Labor, Minister of the Chemical and Oil Refining Industry of the USSR, the legendary Nikolai Lemayev. He would have turned 94 years old.
Nikolai Lemayev made a huge contribution to the development of Nizhnekamsk city, professional sports and hockey in Nizhnekamsk. The hockey team Neftekhimik was created 55 years ago by order of Nikolai Lemayev.
In tribute to Nikolai Lemayev, Neftekhimik organization staff laid flowers in front of the monument to N.V. Lemayev.
