Lada has had one of the toughest starts to the season in the league. In seven games, they have managed to get only one regulation win (4–2 against Dinamo Minsk on September 14), suffered three overtime losses, and endured heavy defeats – including a 7–2 loss to Torpedo and a 6–0 against Barys. They currently have 5 points.

Following the home rout by Barys on September 16 and an overtime loss away to Ak Bars on September 21, Lada heads to Nizhnekamsk. Lada will be fighting desperately for points.

Neftekhimik and Lada are longtime rivals. In their KHL history, the teams have faced each other 39 times: Lada has won 20 games, and Neftekhimik 19. The goal differential stands at 112–101 in favor of the Tolyatti team.

The 2025–26 season went poorly for our team in this rivalry: they lost both games 4–1 at home (October 2) and 2–1 in Togliatti (November 16). However, the previous season (2024–25) saw an even split, with two wins apiece, including an impressive 4–2 victory for Neftekhimik in Nizhnekamsk.
