Neftekhimik Hockey School student (Torpedo player) Nikita Artamonov, brought the Russian Champion's Cup to Nizhnekamsk for the first time in the history of the city, which he won as part of the VHL team Torpedo–Gorky.
At the age of 19, Nikita has become one of the most successful and promising hockey players among those who came from the Neftekhimik Hockey School. In 2023, Nikita Artamonov and Grigory Morozov, brought the Kharlamov Cup – the main trophy of the JHL. In 2024, Nikita Artamonov was selected 50th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes at the NHL Entry Draft.“I have already brought home my second cup, now I want to bring home two more, the most important ones. I have a goal and I need to work towards it. When we played in the playoffs this year, I realized that I had joined a team that was impossible to beat, and that’s what happened. This is an important stage in my career, but I need to move on. Our Nizhnekamsk school produces very worthy hockey players, and many of our students play on different teams. The main thing is not to forget my hometown and make the fans happy with new cups,” said Nikita Artamonov, Torpedo forward.

"Nikita is our pride, he is already bringing home his second cup. I told him to get ready for the third. He has the potential for this, I am sure that everything will work out for him in the future," said Viktor Lyalin, coach of the Neftekhimik Hockey School and mentor of Nikita Artamonov.

"We are always happy about the successes of our students. Recently, Andrei Sergeyev came with the Gagarin Cup, today Nikita arrived. We are grateful to him for bringing the Russian Champion Cup to our city, to his native club, which raised him as a hockey player. The achievements of each of our students, regardless of where he plays, are a huge incentive for the development of our young players, the future generation of hockey players," said Igor Larionov, Neftekhimik Director General.

Nikita spent his visit to Nizhnekamsk together with the Russian Champion Cup in a busy manner – he visited the Victory Monument, talked to the players of the Reaktor team, in which he himself played several years ago, took a photo with the current students of the Neftekhimik Hockey School, and then gave everyone the opportunity to take a photo as a keepsake.
