Neftekhimik forward Nikita Khoruzhev speaks with the media after a following 3–1 win over Sibir.
– We got a good team win. It is great that we managed to make it 3–1 late in the game. That settled things down a little, and we were able to close out the game with a victory.– You did not score any goals in the third period. How difficult was it to protect such a lead?
– We were not really trying simply to hold on, as such. There were chances to extend the lead, I had one myself, so it turned into an end–to–end game. The game stayed in the balance right to the end. Fortunately, it finished with a win for us!
– You have been out for a while because of illness. What is it like to be back on the ice?
– It was definitely hard to watch the team from the sidelines, so I am really glad to be back and able to help.
– How difficult was it to get back into the rhythm of the game?
– Honestly, from my first shifts I tried to keep things simple, and I did not really run into any problems.
