Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–2 (SO) loss against Sibir.
– I liked the game. The team have 25 blocked shots. There was a great desire to win. We did not not score on the power paly. We had the lead, but conceded at the end of the period. I am grateful to them for this great game. We will do our best in order to make playoffs.– Neftekhimik played two games against Sibir. Is it kind of playoffs?
– Yes, I agree.
– Would you like there to be a play–in between the teams that are fighting for the playoffs?
– Why not, we think about the fans. Of course, some teams finish their season in February. It is too early. The fans love hockey, they should come and enjoy it.
– The fate of these two games against Sibir was decided by the opposing import players. Can we say that the difference in the quality of import players between Sibir and Neftekhimik played a big role?
– Klok, I think, is no worse, Dea plays well too. We cannot afford expensive import players like Andreoff. We are trying to find an inexpensive Russian player.
