Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev summed up the first part of the preparation for the season and spoke about the tasks at the tournament in Ufa.
– It should be noted that the guys arrived at the preseason training camp well prepared. Therefore, we started the training process without any warm-up. The players were offered hard work and they handled the loads very well.Now we are entering the competitive stage. We need to test the guys directly in the games.
In this regard, the tournament that will be held in Ufa is of great importance for us. After all, we have not only experienced, proven fighters of the main team, but also young players from the nearest reserve, who are approaching the main team. In the upcoming matches with KHL teams, we will check how ready they are to perform at a high level. We will give a chance to all 29 hockey players who are going to Ufa.
Alexander Dergachyov, Arteyom Serikov and Bulat Shafigullin remain in Nizhnekamsk. They have microtraumas and will work out at home according to an individual program.
