Ak Bars took an early lead after 43 seconds of the first period. Nevertheless, Neftekhimik tied the game up before the intermission. Bulat Shafigullin set up Ansel Galimov for a one-timer shot.

In the second period, Ak Bars scored on the power play regained the lead. After that Ak Bars scored 3 unanswered goals.

Neftekhimik replaced its starting goalie Alexander Sudnitsin with Andrei Tikhomirov. Andrei conceded one goal.
