Playoffs 1st Round, Game 6: Neftekhimik 2–4 Ak Bars 03/11/2023

Neftekhimik lost to Ak Bars 2–4.

It was a do-or-die situation for our team. Neftekhimik scored a quick goal in the first minute of the period. After winning face-off, Anthony Camara took the puck behind the net and set up Ansel Galimov for a point-blank shot. Unfortunately, Ak Bars tied the game up 20 seconds later. 

In the second period, Neftekhimik again took advantage for the second time in this game. Andrei Chivilyov scored on the power play with a one-timer off Semyon Kizimov’s feed.

After penalty killing, Ak Bars tied the game up at even strength in the third period. Ten minutes before the end of the third period, Ak Bars took the lead for the first time in this game.

Our team tried to do its best. In the end of the third period, our team got a great chance to tie the game up. Neftekhimik played 6-on-4 hockey; unfortunately, we conceded an empty net goal.
