Press Conference «Lokomotiv – Neftekhimik» 10/20/2026
20.10.2026
Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 1–0 won over Lokomotiv.
– After the game against CSKA, the guys really locked in and prepared well for this game. CSKA was the stronger side in that previous game, though we still managed to create some good chances. Today, everything came together for us – we were solid defensively, and Filipp played a great game. When we got a powerplay opportunity, we executed it perfectly and scored. I think it was a convincing and well-deserved win .– Your last two games against Lokomotiv have both ended with the same 1–0 scoreline. How does that happen?
– If only I knew the answer... We try to play a tight, physical defensive game, and so does Lokomotiv. They are a serious, strong team – they defend well, and their goaltender is very reliable. Even though both sides have players capable of scoring, I am not sure how to explain it. That is just how it has turned out.
