Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 6–9 loss against Metallurg Mg.
– Everyone saw everything on the ice. They showed us today who is in charge. We had a tough time against Metallurg.– For the first time this season, Filipp Dolganov was not even second goaltender. What is the reason for that?"
– We will not reveal any secrets, but he has no health issues.
– Did you decided to save Lyubalin from bad experience of his first KHL game? He conceded three goals, and then Ozolin was back in the net.
– Naturally, this is Semyon's debut, and the opponent is top–team. He started in the beginning of the second period and played well, made a couple of saves, but he should have gotten better help from the guys. We did not want him to have a bad experience because the guy had not had any game practice in a while, having played a couple of times for Reaktor, so it was tough for him. And Yaroslav had a rest for a bit, recovered, and in the third period he showed the level of play he is capable of.
– At some point, emotions started to get out of control. How can you explain that? Because Pastukhov isn not usually expected to be aggressive.
– Probably it was just the way the game went on. The big score, the big difference on the scoreboard. The opponent was doing everything right, but we were not. The guys' psychology was working. But I would not say there was any super–aggression; it was just normal game, and some skirmishes escalated into brawls.
