Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 2–1 win over Admiral.
– The opponent needed to win to secure seventh place in the standings. So their motivation was clear. Of course, we also need to win to finish the regular season on a high note and please the fans. Today was an even game, in which the first two goals were scored on the power play. After that, everything flowed until the first decisive goal. In principle, that is what happened. Congratulations to everyone on this victory! Thanks to the fans who supported us.– How would you rate Yaroslav Ozolin's game?
– He played a good game, helped the team out. It was especially difficult at the end, but he overcame the difficulties and won. I hope that in the next games he will also play well in the final line.
Admiral head Coach Leonid Tambiev:
– We saw an even game, but I did not like the way we played. Compared to the previous game, which took place in Magnitogorsk, the difference is noticeable. Then the guys went out on the ice with emotions, with a desire to win. Today everything was different. Yes, in some episodes we looked good. But there was no integral game. Probably, Neftekhimik wanted to win more. There is something to think about.
