Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 7–2 win over Admiral.
– Congratulations to everyone on this victory! At the end of the season, we had to win, in order to say hank you to our fans. The guys were in an incredible mood, they wanted to prove that they deserved the playoffs. The game showed that we are ready to fight in the cup games. Yes, not everything worked out this season. There are both objective and subjective reasons for this. We will draw conclusions, analyze all the moments. I would also like to mention the fans who warmly greeted us today. – It was obvious that today the guys were taking care of themselves before the playoffs. The hockey players were already thinking about the cup games. Perhaps, absolutely everything flew into our goal. We conceded two quick goals, which made it difficult to get ourselves together. The opponent was fired up, wanted to finish the season beautifully. And that is what happened. On our side, I can only note the third period.
