Press Conference «Neftekhimik– Amur» 10/7/2025

07.10.2025

Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 1–2 loss against Amur.

– We started the game really badly. Despite the fact that we scored a quick goal—and early goals generally have a negative impact on a team—we tried to bring everyone back to their senses on the bench. Apparently, the successful goal led to some relax. The opponent simply outplayed us in the first period. We won the first period, but the opponent had the advantage.

In the second period, the opponent took advantage of our mistakes and scored goals. Starting towards the end of the second, we more active, aggressive, creating goal–scoring chances. In the third period, the opponent tried to save its advantage. We had some chances, but we did not score.

Amur Head Coach Alexander Galchenyuk:

–
We lost three games in a row before this game. We have a lot of guys on the team who were sick. We did not win those games, but we persevered and fought. Now everyone's recovered, thank God. We put up a good game against Nizhnekamsk today; it was a good, double–edged game. Both teams needed to win, but we had the better luck.
