Press conference «Neftekhimik-Sibir»

Oleg Leontyev, the head coach of HC Neftekhimik:

- We just needed to score one goal. In the first period our opponent had an advantage. In the second period, we changed the game, we made more shots and had good goal-scoring chances, and unfortunately we did not take advantage of it. Also, we got unnecessary penalties in the last 5 minutes of the third period. We tried to tie the game up and conceded the second goal. The guys did not give up, they fought to the very end.

- Did the first conceded goal affected your team in some way?

- You never want to miss it first. In the current course of the match, it did not affect in any way, because starting from the second period in shots and in movement we outplayed the opponent, but there was not enough goal.

Andrei Martemyanov, the head coach of HC Sibir:

- There are no easy games against Neftekhimik. Both teams are playing for the playoffs spot this season. It was a good hard-battled game. We played disciplined both in offensevily and defensively. It was fourth away game for us, we tried to do our best. We blocked not enough shots. Our goaltender played well. Nizhnekamsk had about five goal-scoring chances but our goaltender kept us in the game. Congratulations to the team on a good game. I think that the next game between Neftekhimik and Sibir will be a hard-battled one like today’s game.
