Press conference «Severstal-Neftekhimik».
Oleg Leontyev, the head coach of HC Neftekhimik:- It was a good game. The guys showed character and played to the very end. Probably, our rookie goalie was a little worry. In the second period we got 10 penalty minutes and let them to score twice. In the third period, we showed character, our will to win. Unfortunately, we lost our third overtime. I am grateful to the guys who fought to the end of the game, who believed in victory.
- Did the fact that it was third road game affect the team?
- I would not say that. We were ready for today’s game physically and mentally. A professional hockey player who plays in the KHL must be ready physically and mentally for back-to-back games.
Andrei Razin, the head coach of HC Severstal:
- As it says, whatever happens, happens for the best. Our young team have to go through it. For the first time this season, we scored six goals. That is good, but I cannot say the same about our defensive play. The Neftekhimik deserve a credit. Their team fought to the very end. It is useful experience for us.
