Reaktor lost to Sputnik 1–2.
It was Opening Night for both teams. But Reaktor came in cold, with a long layoff since their last tune-up games in mid-August at the TNA Cup in Kazan. That rust showed early, and plenty of players couldn’t find their legs, head coach Ilnar Misbakhov said.The hosts were on their heels from the jump. The visitors owned the puck and struck in the fourth minute, Vilen Taziyev opening the scoring. Reaktor slowly clawed its way back, started generating chances, and equalized midway through the first. Mikhail Andreev let one fly, and David Romanov beat everyone to the loose puck in the slot, hammering home the rebound off the boards. The score stayed locked until late in the third. Then, with two minutes to go, a too-many-men call burned Reaktor. Sputnik pounced on the 5-on-4, Timur Galimov burying the game-winner at 58:02.
All in all, Reaktor brought an intense, gritty effort. They fired 50 shots, 28 on goal, outshooting Sputnik (23 shots on goal from 59 attempts). The hosts blocked twice as many shots (22–13) and competed hard all over the ice. The physical battle was close, but the visitors held a slight edge (22 hits to 18).
Discipline was the difference. Reaktor racked up 13 penalty minutes to Sputnik’s four. The third-period PK was especially costly: Alexander Panov took a five-minute major for a hit to the head. That lapse decided it. Reaktor won plenty of statistical battles, but couldn’t stay disciplined when it mattered most.
