Reaktor lost to Sputnik 1–3.
The game statis speak for themselves: 74 shots to the opponent's 57, and 40 shots on goal to their 32. Reaktor looked particularly impressive in the first period – the team applied pressure, created chance after chance, and controlled the play, outshooting the opposition 17 to 8 on target. Yet, the score on the board stubbornly refused to shift in our favor.After two periods, the picture was striking: 55 total shots to 35, and a 30–19 advantage in shots on goal. However, the opponent capitalized on two power-play opportunities: Dmitry Khoruzhev – younger brother of Neftekhimik’s forward Nikita Khoruzhev – scored in the 27th minute, followed by Ilya Troyanov in the 31st.
Romanov narrowed the gap in the 53rd minute, giving Reaktor a glimmer of hope in the closing stages. Ilnar Misbakhov’s team earned a power-play opportunity and pulled their goaltender for an extra attacker, but the move resulted only in an empty-net goal conceded just a second before the final buzzer.
