31.12.2025

2025 is behind us, which means it's time to have a look at the reseluts! This article highlights Reaktor's most memorable moments from the past year.

1. Makar Kurbatov's lacrosse-style goal.

Forward Makar Kurbatov joined Reaktor during the previous season. He scored 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) in 38 games, and one of his goals made the highlight reel.

On January 8th, Nizhnekamsk won a 5-2 home game against Snezhnye Barsy. Makar Kurbatov scored the fifth goal, a lacrosse goal! Goals like that aren't often seen.

2. A Goaltender's Goal.

Next up is another extremely unusual goal from a youth team player. On February 12th, in a home match against Sputnik, goaltender Semyon Lyubalin scored the winner!

Reaktor was leading 4–2 at the time. It seemed the ending wouldn't bring any surprises for the fans, but Lyubalin had other plans. Toward the end of the gameh, the Almetyevsk team pulled their goaltender. Reaktor goalkeeper took advantage of this: he waited for the right moment and fired a precise shot into the opposing goal. Semyon set the final score and became the first goalkeeper in the history of the Nizhnekamsk youth team to score a goal.

3. Drama in the final game of the regular season.

On March 21, Reaktor played Tolpar away. Nizhnekamsk needed only a win to advance to the play–in. The level of responsibility was extremely high, which is where our junior team failed.

Nizhnekamsk was leading 3
1 during the game. In the final 10 minutes, the home team scored twice, one of the goals coming just a second before the final buzzer. And then, riding high on the momentum of the shootout, they managed to snatch the victory.

They were just one second short of advancing to the play
in. Moreover, Reaktor was one point short of participating in the second half of the season. Despite the setback, it was a good lesson for the young players. It's not for nothing that they say, In hockey, you have to fight for the full 60 minutes.

4. East vs. West.

This season, the JHL made some changes: each Eastern team now plays against two Western teams. Reaktor faced Krylia Sovetov and SKA Academy.

On September 26th, Nizhnekamsk played Krylia Sovetov on the road. Incidentally, the teams have played against each other before: on January 24th, 2011, Reaktor suffered a painful 0-5 loss in Moscow. Unfortunately, the revenge for the defeat 14 years earlier was not achieved: Krylia Sovetov won in overtime (4-5). But in 2026, on February 13th, a home match against Krylia Sovetov will take place.

Reaktor played against SKA Academy for the first time. In the first encounter, the team from St. Petersburg prevailed, 2-4. In October, the teams played each other in Nizhnekamsk. In a high-scoring match, Igor Fyoedorov's team prevailed, 8-5.

5. Igor Fyodorov's 150 games.

This season, Reaktor head coach Igor Fyoedorov reached a milestone – on September 18th, in a match against Snezhnye Barsy, Igor Viktorovich coached his 150th game as head coach!

Igor Viktorovich joined the Nizhnekamsk coaching staff in 2017, and took over the team before the 2022/23 season. To date, Fyodorov has coached 180 games as head coach. He ranks among the top three in Reaktor history for the number of games coached.

6. Reaktor's 1,000th game.

At the end of December, Reaktor went on its final road trip. On the 22nd, the Nizhnekamsk team played against Mamonty Ugry. This game marked the 1,000th in the JHL for the Nizhnekamsk junior team. Unfortunately, they were unable to win on that day –
Mamonty Ugry prevailed in the shootout series (2-3).

But our junior team made amends in their 1,001st game. On December 25th, a nominally away game against JHK Molot took place in Nizhnekamsk. Reaktor not only won, but did so without a shutout – 2-0.

Before the game, a symbolic faceoff was performed by Alexander Yuryevich Sokolov, a coach who left an indelible mark on Nizhnekamsk hockey. Alexander Yuryevich coached Reaktor for seven seasons, leading the team to the final in 2017.

As head coach, Sokolov coached 414 games and won 197. These statistics make him the best in the history of our youth team.

In his post–game flash interview, Igor Fyodorov said: "Before the start of the game, Alexander Yuryevich Sokolov took a symbolic faceoff; we couldn't lose. Indeed, on a day like that, Reaktor had no right to lose!
