Reaktor got a win over Sputnik 3–2 (OT).
By the 56th minute, Reaktor was trailling 0–2 and had only four skaters on the ice, as David Romanov was serving a five-minute major penalty. However, their opponents mishandled a face-off, resulting in another penalty. Playing 4-on-3, Mikhail Andreyev managed to pull one goal back for his team. Shortly after, Reaktor found themselves short-handed, and to even out the number of skaters on the ice, they pulled their goaltender for an extra attacker. With both teams at equal strength but the net left empty, Vsevolod Kuznetsov scored to tie the game up at 2–2.The overtime period proved to be just as dramatic. In the 65th minute, Reaktor was awarded a penalty shot, but Amir Gizyatov was unable to convert. Just seconds later, the Nizhnekamsk side earned another penalty shot – this time taken by David Romanov – and he found the back of the net! An incredibly gutsy victory!
