Coaching staff: Sputnik Head Coach Daniil Dmitrievich Arkhipov is in his second season with the team in the JHL. Although Sputnik didn't qualify for the play-in, this year's result is significantly better than their debut, when the team finished third from bottom. Arkhipov joined Almetyevsk from the Ak Bars system, having previously worked with teams at the Kazan Dynamo Hockey School.
