Despite that early blow, Neftekhimik played well in the first period, outshooting Ufa 14-7. However, there was a lack of a cutting edge in front of goal.

In the second period, Neftekhimik forward Nikita Khoruzhev tied the game up. Later, Salavat Yulaev scored its second of ht game.
