During summer, Severstal head coach Andrei Razin left Cherepovets. Now Severestal head coach is Andrei Kozyrev.

Plenty of leaders leaved the team to join Metallurg – Igor Geraskin, Makar Khabarov and Robin Press.

Goaltender Alexander Samonov, defensemen Nikolai Timashov, Daniil Pylenkov and many others joined other clubs.

Among players who joined Severstal we would like to point out Vasily Tokranov and Mark Barberio.

Vasily Tokranov. Vasily is an experienced defenseman, 1-time KHL Gagarin Cup Champion, Severstal Captain.

Mark Barberio. Mark played 289 games in the NHL. In the KHL, he was part of Ak Bars and Dinamo Minsk.
