The first tournament dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory
19.04.2025
It brought together young players of Neftekhimik and the most notable graduates of our hockey school on the same ice.
Why not create completely new teams for one day to look at our young players from a different angle? We witnessed the first tournament in the history of our club, which was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Teams were formed by drawing lots, which included graduates of the Neftekhimik Youth Sports School born in 2007–2011. Their captains were Neftekhimik players - German Tochilkin, Nikita Khoruzhev, Daniil Poyarkov and Daniil Sherstobitov.

Before the games, the tournament participants were addressed by Neftekhimik Director General Igor Larionov:
– This tournament is a chance for you to make a name for yourself, to show what you have learned this year, and to join the Reaktor youth team in the future, and in the long term – the Neftekhimik team.
The teams of Khoruzhev and Sherstobitov met in the first game. Sherstobitov's team won a convincing victory with a score of 6:2.
The youngest participant of our tournament, born in 2011, Amir Ilalov shared the secret of how Sherstobitov's team managed to quickly play together and show a great game in the very first game:
– The coaches simply gave instructions before the game, gave advice. And so, within the school, everyone knows each other, more or less, we were able to play together and show a result. This tournament has a very interesting format, I think it will be useful for us. I am glad to be on Danil Sherstobitov's team.

The second pair of participants is Tochilkin's team against Poyarkov's team. The final score on the board is 7:5, in favor of Herman's team.
Timur Shagimardanov (Tochilkin's team), a graduate of the Youth Sports School born in 2009, shared the secret of the successful match:
"The team included guys who already knew each other, even knew each other very well. They quickly united and showed themselves well in the game. The format was very interesting, it was cool!"

This is how the pairs for the matches for the prize places of the tournament were determined: the teams of Khoruzhev and Poyarkov fought for third place. Success for the "bronze" accompanied the team of Daniel Poyarkov.
Ilya Vasilyev (Poyarkov's team), a graduate of the Neftekhimik Hockey School born in 2007:
– We took third place. Not bad, I think. Many thanks to the coaches and managers who organized all this. We tested our strength, showed what we are capable of. We need to move further into the MHL, so this is a very good idea. The teams were determined by the draw. I would have liked to go to my coach, Evgeny Sergeyevich Eremenko, but I got Andrey Nikolaevich Zharenkov. Our team is very good, they could have made it to the final, but they almost did not.
The winner of the first tournament was German Tochilkin's team, which beat Danil Sherstobitov's team in the final match. The score of the game was 7:2.

German, who was forced to join his coaches Oleg Pisarev and Sergey Kasymov due to an injury, made his contribution to the victory.
– The emotions are very positive. The guys were all in the mood, they gave their best in these games. I am grateful to everyone, it was a very interesting tournament, congratulations to everyone on the victory! I met many of the guys, I gave them advice during the games. Today was my debut on the coaching bridge, it was great, I liked it, German Tochilkin noted.

The results of the tournament were summed up by the Director General of the HC Neftekhimik I.V. Larionov:
– We held a tournament in this format for the first time. I must say that it was held at a high organizational level, which was facilitated by a lot of preparatory work. This tournament will become traditional. Every year we will dedicate it to our Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the memory of our fathers and grandfathers who fought for the Fatherland. The goal of the tournament was also to give a chance to graduates of our school, guys of different ages to show themselves, to give an opportunity to break through to the youth level. I express my deep gratitude for the idea of holding and organizing this tournament, for the work done to the adviser on hockey vertical S.N. Levashev, the director of the Neftekhimik Hockey School I.D. Nugmanov, as well as the coaches and players of the participating teams."
