Timur Khairullin: «It was a hard–battled game»
17.10.2025

Neftekhimik defenseman Timur Khairullin speaks with the media after a following 3–4 overtime win over Dinamo Mn.
– It was a hard–battled game against a good opponent. The opponent's stands were pushing us forward. The full arena had a positive effect on us, motivating us. We held our ground in tough moments and scored our goals.
We managed to seize the initiative from our opponents – and it is good that we tied the score right at the end, and then decided the game in overtime.
– What was it that helped us turn the game around?
– I believe that it was primarily through persistence. Everyone believed in victory from the first minute we took to the ice, and that is what happened, we won.
– What did the coaching staff say at the end?
– They have been telling us since the very first meeting that we need to believe in a positive outcome, that we need to believe in ourselves. And at the end of the game, they also told us: believe, and everything will work out. And it did.
