Vladislav Barulin: «It is a hard–earned victory»

07.11.2025

Neftekhimik forward Vladislav Barulin speaks with the media after a following 1–0 win over Salavat Yulaev.

– It is a tough win. We had fourth game in eight days, including travel. We just returned from an away series. We did not have much time to recover. It is a hard–earned victory.

There were a lot of scoring opportunities...
It was tough hockey, the puck was often stuck and slowed down, so it was hard to score.

How did you manage to outplay the opposing team?
I think that the key thing was the fact that we scored first and played well on the penalty kill and defensively. Fill (Dolganov) got a shutout. He kept us in the game. From ous side we tried to block as many shots as possible.

The team had a good start with a tough last minutes. Why?
– The score is tight, there's a lot of responsibility, so we need to play defensively at the end.

Did you hear the support from the stands?
Yes, as I said before, it's always nice when the arena is full and the fans are driving us forward. We play for them, we try our best for them, and we hope it stays that way.
