Vladislav Barulin: «This is a very important win for us»
23.10.2025

Neftekhimik forward Vladislav Barulin speaks with the media after a following 5–3 win over Metallurg Mg.
– We analyzed our opponent and learned from the previous game. In the previous game we had a bad start. Today, thankfully, it was different. It is worth noting that all the guys fought hard and kept the puck under control. This is a very important win for us.
– Did the previous game have such a big impact?
– Of course! We scored four goals in the third period and gave our opponent a good battle. After all, we are a serious team fighting for a playoff spot.
– This season, you have been playing either center or wing. Which position do you prefer?
– Honestly, it does not matter to me. Wherever the coaching staff sees me, that is where I play. I have always played wing, when my Head Coach was Martemyanov, may he rest in peace, I started playing center. I gained a lot of experience then, so I can play either wing or center.
– How do you feel about the team's current state?
– There are games that do not go well. But we are just starting out, we have a new team. Not everything is perfect, but I think we will get going again.
– How do you like the new jersey?
– It is awesome! It is great to have such variety. Maybe I will build up a collection by the end of the year.
– Did you feel the fans' support?
– Yes, of course! It was really loud; the fans were pushing us forward. I hope it continues as the championship progresses. We are working hard for them, playing offensive hockey.
