Reaktor forward Vladislav Chertkov speaks with the media after a following 3–2 win over Sputnik.
– It was an incredible game in terms of emotion and intensity – the fans certainly enjoyed it. But did the players enjoy it too?– A win is a win. Everyone likes to win. Everyone enjoyed it.
– Things were tense on the bench, especially in the final minutes after David Romanov was sent off. Was there still hope at that point that the game could be saved?
– Of course. Everyone fights until the very last second and believes in victory right to the end. That is how these wins and goals come about.
– There were plenty of scoring chances today. You started the game strongly and held the initiative – why could you not open the scoring? And why did you end up conceding first?
– I do not know; the puck just would not go into the net. The most important thing is that it finally went in at the end.
– Did the coach say anything encouraging after the second period to help shift the momentum for the third?
– He told us a joke in the locker room. Everyone had a good laugh and headed back out onto the ice in high spirits. And that is how we ended up winning.
– What was the joke about?
– That is something that will stay within the team.
