Who became the record holders of the Neftekhimik Hockey School?
05.02.2026

For the second year in a row, Neftekhimik Hockey School players competed in the record–breaking competition in the following categories – The Hardest Shot, The Best Shootout, The Fastest Skater and The Best Goaltender.
The first stage of the competition took place back in December, when players from eight senior teams (2008 – 2015 years born), competed within their respective teams. The second stage of the competition became a major celebration for the players and parents, where the best of the best were chosen.Neftekhimik General Director Igor Larionov:
"I'm glad our competition is becoming a great tradition. Today we honor the fastest, the strongest, and the most skilled players. Only by competing with each other and with yourself, you will become true professionals. I wish everyone a great and competitive spirit as well as great atmosphere at this event."

Neftekhimik Hockey School Director Ildar Nugmanov:
"Following the first competition, the kids, parents, and coaches were delighted. That's why we decided to make it a tradition. We chose these categories for a reason, as skill and mastery are key to the game."
The final round included players with the best results on their teams – 31 in total. We'd like to highlight Leon Zakirov (born 2014), who took first place in two categories: "The Best Shootout" and "The Fastest Skater." Our players were supported by players from the juniour and senior teams – Kondrat Reshetnikov, Vladislav Rukhlyadev, and Vsevolod Favrichnikov.

In order to determine the winners in the "The Fastest Skater" category, the eight finalists were divided into pairs, resulting in four winners each. The participants had to complete a full lap of the hockey rink at maximum speed. The winners were the players who completed the lap in the shortest time. These players were Daniil Gizatullin (2008), Rail Badretdinov (2010), Daniil Sayapov (2012), and Leon Zakirov (2014). These players received sticks signed by Neftekhimik players.

Eight more players advanced to the finals in the "The Hardest Shot" category. Four pairs of players competed against each other, requiring them to shoot from eight meters from the net, aiming to reach maximum puck speed. Speed Radar detected the maximum speed – it reached 130 km/h! The winners, who received signed Neftekhimik player sticks, were Yegor Volkov (2008), Amir Ilalov (2011), Samat Dautov (2013), and Evgeny Andreyev (2014).

"The Best Shootout" and "The Best Goaltender" categories featured a unique duel between goalies and players. If the shootout is scored, the player wins; if not, the goalie is called the best. In this battle, nearly all goalies emerged victorious, preventing a penalty shot from being scored: Roman Bakhusov (2008), Dinar Shakirov (2009), Damir Galeyev (2010), Alexei Shuvalov (2011), Rinal Sakhabutdinov (2012), Alan Makulov (2013), and Ranel Mayorov (2014). Only Leon Zakirov (2014) managed to score a goal. The winners got Neftekhimik caps.

All teams participating in our record–breaking competition received sweets as a gift.
